Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer is also a writer. She is most famous for her role as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written, directed and starred her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was a part of the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children from Edward Benson and Diane Benson. She was born in Birmingham in Alabama, on the 8th of January 1977. Danielle is her sister, and is an artist. Benson was a member of a Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is too Jewish. Benson was a part of Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's closing. Behind the camera, she utilized her writing talents in The Ghosts of Albion series and produced projects such as The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones. Buffy claims that she's discovered and counted over 1800 Slayers with 500 who work with members of the Scooby Gang. Slayers may be awakened as they reach an appropriate level of maturation.
